Peaceful.

Right now I am sitting in UHCL at my Special Education class. We are watching a video about children who are in special education and I cannot help but think about how blessed me and my family and friends are. Lately I have thought about alot of the negatives that come along with life in general. I haven't taken the time out to look at all the wonderful thing that are going on right now in my life, my families life and all the people I love and care about. Life is such a short ride. I want to have all the fun and happiness I can before it is all over. I thank God for everything that he has provided for me and I can't help but ask why? I know the answer...because I have laid everything down on the line and gave him all my worries. That is the only reason, on a daily basis I tell God, please just do your will and I will be happy. No matter what that is, it is his will and I know it is what is best for me.

Today before class I took the girls to go get some highlights, just wanted to share a picture for this blog. Doesn't really go with my message, just a fun pic :)

Living life to the fullest!

Lately I have been so stressed out about finances and everything that surrounds school. I haven't even stopped to smell the roses and point out all the wonderful things that are developing in my life. When Daddy passed away it put my entire life on hold, I didn't even want to get up in the morning...much less go to school and act like a normal person. Slowly but surely I am starting to do more and think about the wonderful man that my Daddy was and will always be. The past week all I can think about is how my dad lived his life to the fullest! He never ever let a fun time or something fun pass him up, he always was having fun even in his last days. I want my life to be like that! The past few months I really gave up on craft's, cakes and also photography. Which is crazy to me because those are all the things that I absolutely love to do. My Daddy was the one who bought me my first camera and was always buying me photography things and being completely enthusiastic about my photography kicking off! I never want to quit because that is something that me and him loved talking about together. He was always cheering me on with everything that I do. So this past week I have started to do things that I love again! Here is a few snapshot's of what I have been doing this past week!

Here is a cute peace sign cake I made for Nick's cousin who was turning 11!

A lovely pink and black polka dot bow I made for an adorable baby girl!

And how could you not want a cutesy camo bow!

Last but not least, I took this couple's pictures at a park around Baytown. They did wonderful!

Haleigh's 11th Birthday

Today was Haleigh's Birthday Party. Her birthday was really on Thursday but we had her party today. Her best friend Faith Anderson came over to join us in celebrating Haliegh's 11Th B-day, I cannot believe that she is that old already. I have an 11 year old and a 13 year old sister, that is absolutely un real to me. This year so far has brought alot of heartbreak but today it was good to look at something positive...11 years of life and more to come for our beautiful Haleigh. She is turning into such a beautiful, smart, confident, caring, christian and talented young lady. Every day she amazes me at how wonderful she is. I am so lucky to call her my youngest sister. She is truly a blessing and I love her so very much. I hope she had as much fun as I did at her birthday! :) I love you baby girl! Here is a few pictures of her party!

I miss you..

If Red Roses grow in heaven Lord, then pick a bunch for me. Place them in my Daddy's arms and tell him they're from me. Tell him that I love and miss him, and when he turns to smile, place a kiss upon his cheek and hold him for awhile.

Stuck in a rut.

Lately, within the past few day's I have just felt like I have been in a major rut. Spiritually, physically and emotionally. I am not sure how to shake this feeling other than to just pray about it. I was looking on a fellow blogger's blog and she posted this lovely prayer that I just love. Every word speaks to me in a major way :

"Lord Jesus, you have shown me that only one thing is absolutely necessary, and that is the only thing that I want to seek after with all my heart: that I may live in Your presence every day of my life, that I may gaze upon Your beauty with a heart of worship and adoration, and that I may learn to know Your heart, Your ways and Your will. To this supreme purpose I dedicate myself. By your grace, I will make this the highest priority of my life. Amen"

When I read this I felt like this prayer covers all bases....no matter what I am needing or wanting in my life, I still need to dedicate my EVERY move to Jesus Christ and it will always work out. We may not think that things work out OUR way, but they work out HIS way ....and that is the BEST way. I am so thankful that I was raised knowing Jesus Christ, lately I have been praying for a chance to witness to someone about his love and kindness. I can't imagine not knowing Jesus on a personal level, I want to introduce someone to unconditional love like I feel.

All in His name,
Madison :)

Month Of Praise

I am going to start a month of praise. Some days are going to be words from me, some days will be words just straight from the bible...no matter where it is coming from it will all be for one reason: to shed light on Jesus and his words. Today I want the focus to be "Hidden Sin". Scripture tells us "Be sure your sin will find you out" (Num 32: 23). We may be able to hide our sin from other people, but nothing is "hidden from God's sight" (Heb. 4:13). "He sees each of our failures, thoughts and motivations (1 Sam. 16:7; Luke 12:2-3). Believers are given a wonderful promise: "If we confess our sins (God) is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" ( 1 John 1:9). So don't let unconfessed so-called " hidden sins" come between you and your God. DON'T LET ANYTHING COME BETWEEN YOU AND ETERNITY.

Best Daddy In the World

Alot has happened since I last wrote on my blog. My life has absolutely turned upside down and all around. My daddy passed away on May 4Th early in the morning. Talk about a hard hit, I have not been myself ever since that day. I am not going to go into detail about his actual passing and how it happened or anything because it is too soon for me.

It happened on a Wednesday, I went up to Arkansas the next morning, that Thursday evening was his viewing (only Christy, Momma, Chandler, Caitlyn, KK, Haleigh and me went in to view him). Then the next morning was his service, it flew by and I feel as if I never even had a chance to actually deal with the hurt. Everyday just feels like I am going through the motions. Knowing that daddy was a christian really dulls and soothes the pain. It makes dealing with the heartbreak a little bit easier knowing that he is praising God 24/7 and seeing his face. His favorite song was "I can only Imagine" by Mercy Me....he does not have to imagine anymore. And the fact that I will see him again just makes my heart sing and praise God for giving him and me the opportunity to worship our Lord and Savior together again.

This whole experience has been very hard on the girls and me to swallow. We love our daddy more than anything and he was the best daddy we could have ever asked for. He did things that daddy's normally don't do or don't like to do....his girls were his pride and joy. There was not a time that he wouldn't take to brag on one of us. He would have taken a bullet for us, and much more. Most people would be absolutely devastated (not saying I am not totally heartbroken) but the fact that I had a daddy that most daughters DREAM of having...and not to mention a WONDERFUL friend also just makes this a learning and growing experience in my Christianity.

I can definitely say that because of his 'home going' I have acquired a relationship with my father and God that is unbreakable. Our bond will never be broken and it grows and grows everyday. I start my morning and end my day just talking with my father's that are in heaven. I have the best angels looking down on me. Every time I feel the sun hit my skin...I know it's daddy shining down on his baby.

"In the sea of grief, there are islands of grace, moments in time where you can remember what is left, rather than all that has been lost..."

I love you daddy, more than anything. You are my strength, determination, confidence, power, Independence, will power, and most of all my angel. I can't wait until the day I get to see you and kiss your face and tell you Ive missed you so much.
