I miss you..

If Red Roses grow in heaven Lord, then pick a bunch for me. Place them in my Daddy's arms and tell him they're from me. Tell him that I love and miss him, and when he turns to smile, place a kiss upon his cheek and hold him for awhile.

Stuck in a rut.

Lately, within the past few day's I have just felt like I have been in a major rut. Spiritually, physically and emotionally. I am not sure how to shake this feeling other than to just pray about it. I was looking on a fellow blogger's blog and she posted this lovely prayer that I just love. Every word speaks to me in a major way :

"Lord Jesus, you have shown me that only one thing is absolutely necessary, and that is the only thing that I want to seek after with all my heart: that I may live in Your presence every day of my life, that I may gaze upon Your beauty with a heart of worship and adoration, and that I may learn to know Your heart, Your ways and Your will. To this supreme purpose I dedicate myself. By your grace, I will make this the highest priority of my life. Amen"

When I read this I felt like this prayer covers all bases....no matter what I am needing or wanting in my life, I still need to dedicate my EVERY move to Jesus Christ and it will always work out. We may not think that things work out OUR way, but they work out HIS way ....and that is the BEST way. I am so thankful that I was raised knowing Jesus Christ, lately I have been praying for a chance to witness to someone about his love and kindness. I can't imagine not knowing Jesus on a personal level, I want to introduce someone to unconditional love like I feel.

All in His name,
Madison :)

Month Of Praise

I am going to start a month of praise. Some days are going to be words from me, some days will be words just straight from the bible...no matter where it is coming from it will all be for one reason: to shed light on Jesus and his words. Today I want the focus to be "Hidden Sin". Scripture tells us "Be sure your sin will find you out" (Num 32: 23). We may be able to hide our sin from other people, but nothing is "hidden from God's sight" (Heb. 4:13). "He sees each of our failures, thoughts and motivations (1 Sam. 16:7; Luke 12:2-3). Believers are given a wonderful promise: "If we confess our sins (God) is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" ( 1 John 1:9). So don't let unconfessed so-called " hidden sins" come between you and your God. DON'T LET ANYTHING COME BETWEEN YOU AND ETERNITY.

Best Daddy In the World

Alot has happened since I last wrote on my blog. My life has absolutely turned upside down and all around. My daddy passed away on May 4Th early in the morning. Talk about a hard hit, I have not been myself ever since that day. I am not going to go into detail about his actual passing and how it happened or anything because it is too soon for me.

It happened on a Wednesday, I went up to Arkansas the next morning, that Thursday evening was his viewing (only Christy, Momma, Chandler, Caitlyn, KK, Haleigh and me went in to view him). Then the next morning was his service, it flew by and I feel as if I never even had a chance to actually deal with the hurt. Everyday just feels like I am going through the motions. Knowing that daddy was a christian really dulls and soothes the pain. It makes dealing with the heartbreak a little bit easier knowing that he is praising God 24/7 and seeing his face. His favorite song was "I can only Imagine" by Mercy Me....he does not have to imagine anymore. And the fact that I will see him again just makes my heart sing and praise God for giving him and me the opportunity to worship our Lord and Savior together again.

This whole experience has been very hard on the girls and me to swallow. We love our daddy more than anything and he was the best daddy we could have ever asked for. He did things that daddy's normally don't do or don't like to do....his girls were his pride and joy. There was not a time that he wouldn't take to brag on one of us. He would have taken a bullet for us, and much more. Most people would be absolutely devastated (not saying I am not totally heartbroken) but the fact that I had a daddy that most daughters DREAM of having...and not to mention a WONDERFUL friend also just makes this a learning and growing experience in my Christianity.

I can definitely say that because of his 'home going' I have acquired a relationship with my father and God that is unbreakable. Our bond will never be broken and it grows and grows everyday. I start my morning and end my day just talking with my father's that are in heaven. I have the best angels looking down on me. Every time I feel the sun hit my skin...I know it's daddy shining down on his baby.

"In the sea of grief, there are islands of grace, moments in time where you can remember what is left, rather than all that has been lost..."

I love you daddy, more than anything. You are my strength, determination, confidence, power, Independence, will power, and most of all my angel. I can't wait until the day I get to see you and kiss your face and tell you Ive missed you so much.

Stress.

The past few months have definitely been stressful to say the least! I have had more going on than ever before. I now am working at 4OurKidsLearning (a daycare in baytown) Monday - Friday. On top of that Monday - Thursday I am also going to UHCL full time! My family and friends have been awesome on helping out with stress but it is still piling on! I am totally looking forward to summer being here! I thought I would try and take a full load in the summer but the more I am thinking about it I am dreading taking any classes! I have always gone to school year round since I have been out of high school. So therefore I think ill take at least one class...It would feel like a waste of a summer if I didn't.

On another note, I am planning a baby shower for Whitney! She is having a baby boy and they are naming him Wyatt Lee Medrano! We are so excited! The baby shower is going to be "cowboy" themed and we are having it on April 17th at my house! I am ready for this baby to be out so I can cuddle with him! <3

Here is a cute recent picture of me and Nick at a friends birthday party!

xoxo, will write later on this week!

Christmas time is here, happiness and cheer...

This Christmas does not really feel like a Christmas only because it is HOTT outside! I hate that because you cant wear cute Christmas clothes, drink hot cocoa outside or do anything that has to do with a bonfire and blanket outside...really stinks!

I have been steady at work with buying a wrapping Christmas presents. I need to stop by one store tomorrow to get nicks last present and then I will finally be done.

Here is our Christmas schedule as of now.

Friday, December 24Th: Candle light service at the church at 6pm, then off to look at Christmas lights with the family..then I will head to the Medrano's to spend Christmas Eve night with Nick and his family.

Saturday, December 25Th: Wake up Christmas morning and open presents with the girls, go have Christmas lunch and dinner at Nana's as usual (only this year it is only our immediate family) and then I'm headed to nick to spend our usual Christmas night together.

Monday, December 27Th: Uncle Scott, Aunt Karen, Kristen, Lauren and Ethan are heading over to our house and then we are going to open the grandkid presents from Meme and Papa :)

Tuesday, December 28Th: The girls and me are headed to Arkansas to spend some good quality time with our daddy :)

Stay tuned!

Five on Friday...

Since I have not wrote on my blog in TOO long, I am going to write about five things that are new in my life and going on right now and also am going to try and have pictures of everything.

1.) I have passed my first semester of UHCL with all A's and one B! I honestly doubted myself more than I should have, when I saw online my grades I almost passed out. Now that I have that under my belt, I cannot wait until Spring semester because that means it is the last semester of my Junior year in college...then Fall 2011 is my senior year! I cannot beleive how fast it has flown by!

2.) Makaela and Haleigh are out of school starting today for their two week vacation for Christmas break. So im excited to have two full weeks with them and be able to spend some good quality time with the girls.

3.) Nick and I had a few issues, but now we are back in action...and thats all Im going to say about that topic.

4.) Chris and Whitney are pregnant and finding out what their baby is going to be! Im currently waiting on a call from them RIGHT NOW saying that it is a boy or a girl. I can't wait to spoil this baby.

5.) Im so excited about my future in teaching, but also in photography...I have gotten so much positive feedback from all the clients that I have taken pictures for. It seems like every week I have a photoshoot and I cannot beleive how fast it has picked up!

....okay guys, I promise I will write at least once a week from here on out!
